The fastest way to get to Tigre is taking the Autopista del Sol. The drive takes about 30 minutes. You have to follow the signs that say Acceso Norte and then get out at the Ramal Tigre exit.

From Buenos Aires:

On the city limits between the city of Buenos Aires and the Gran Buenos Aires (Greater Buenos Aires) take Av. General Paz and then Autopista del Sol (Panamericana Acceso Norte). In San Isidro, take the Ramal Tigre; when the road separates, take to the right, following the sign that says Tigre Centro.

From La Plata:

Take the La Plata-Buenos Aires Highway. Continue along 25 de Mayo Highway and then take Perito Moreno Highway to Av. General Paz. Drive along Av. General Paz towards Río de la Plata and take Autopista del Sol (Panamericana Acceso Norte). In San Isidro, take the Ramal Tigre; when the road separates, take to the right, following the sign that says Tigre Centro.

From Zona Oeste (West Districts of Buenos Aires):
  • Take Acceso Oeste up to Av. General Paz; drive along Av. General Paz towards Río de la Plata up to Autopista del Sol (Panamericana Acceso Norte). In San Isidro, take the Ramal Tigre; when the road separates, take to the right, following the sign that says Tigre Centro.
  • Take Av. Camino del Buen Ayre up to Autopista del Sol (Panamericana Acceso Norte); go across and take Uruguay until you get to Ramal Tigre; when the road separates, take to the right, following the sign that says Tigre Centro.
From Rosario:

Option 1: Take Road 9 towards Buenos Aires. In Benavídez, get off the highway and take Ruta 27 (Route 27) to Tigre. It is about 18 km up to Tigre Centro.

Option 2: Take the Rosario-Buenos Aires Highway towards Buenos Aires. In Benavídez, get off the highway and take Ruta 27(Route 27) to Tigre. It is about 18 km up to Tigre Centro.

By BUS

LINE 60 BUS. It starts at Constitución Station in the city of Buenos Aires and takes about one hour to get to Tigre. The shuttle service has a
green sign that reads: PANAMERICANA (this bus takes the highway).

The bus drives along the following streets:
From Avenida Suárez and General Hornos, along Avenida Suárez, Avenida Manuel Montes De Oca, Bernardo De Irigoyen, Avenida Juan De Garay, Lima Este, Avenida Brasil Norte, Lima Oeste, Constitución, Salta, Humberto 1º, Presidente Luis Sáenz Peña, Avenida De Mayo, Avenida Rivadavia, Avenida Callao, Lavalle, Ayacucho, Avenida General Las Heras, Calzada Circular De Plaza Italia, Avenida Santa Fe, Avenida Luis María Campos, Virrey Del Pino, Avenida Virrey Vértiz, Avenida Juramento, Avenida Cabildo. Then, the regular bus or the shuttle service take either the highway or the main avenues in Gran Buenos Aires Norte up to the roundabout opposite the Tigre train station.

 

LINE 343 BUS.

It starts in Liniers, in the city of Buenos Aires. It can run two different routes but both end in the Fruit Market, in Tigre.

LINE 21 BUS.

It starts in Liniers in the city of Buenos Aires. It can run two different routes that end in either Luis García and Av. Dardo Rocha or Lavalle and Sacriste bridge.

By TRAIN

Tigre is served by two railway lines, that get to two railway stations:

TIGRE Station (TBA Mitre line)
DELTA Station (Tren de la Costa)

RETIRO-TIGRE (Direct service from Buenos Aires, line Retiro-Tigre, operated by TBA)

The trains to Tigre run from Retiro Station, Mitre line, platforms 1 or 2. On working days, trains run every 10 minutes until midnight. On weekends, the trains run every 30 minutes. The ride takes about 50 minutes.

Train stations up to Tigre: RETIRO (CABA), Lisandro de la Torre (CABA), Belgrano C (CABA), Nuñez (CABA), Rivadavia (CABA), Vicente Lopez (Vte. López), Olivos (Vte. López), La Lucila (San Isidro), Martínez (San Isidro), Acassuso (San Isidro), Beccar (San Isidro), Victoria (San Fernando), Virreyes (San Fernando), Carupá (San Fernando), TIGRE (Tigre).

RETIRO-DELTA (Service with connections in Estacion Bartolomé Mitre; Retiro-Mitre line, operated by TBA. The station is Maipu on the Tren de la Costa line.)

In the Mitre line station, find the Mitre trains that then connects with the Tren de la Costa at the Bartolomé Mitre Station. These trains depart from Retiro Station, Mitre line, usually from platforms 3 or 4. Train stations up to Tigre: RETIRO (CABA), 3 de Febrero (CABA), Carranza (CABA), Colegiales (CABA), Belgrano R (CABA), Coghlan (CABA), Saavedra (CABA), J.B. Justo (Vte. López), Florida (Vte. López), Cetrangolo (Vte. López), BARTOLOMÉ MITRE (Vte. López).

After Mitre station, you have to go across the bridge on Avenida Maipu, that leads to Maipu Station that is part of the Tren de la Costa. There you can take the Tren de la Costa to Estacion Delta, in the city of Tigre.
The Tren de la Costa runs with two different tickets: one is valid to travel direct Maipu-Delta and the other allows hopping off the train in any station passengers may like and then hop back on the train.

The Tren de la Costa runs every 20 minutes, every day. Train stations up to Tigre: MAIPÚ (Vte. López), Borges (Vte. López), Libertador (Vte. López), Anchorena (Vte. López), Barrancas (San Isidro), San Isidro (San Isidro), Punta Chica (San Fernando), Marina Nueva (San Fernando), San Fernando (San Fernando), Canal (San Fernando), DELTA (Tigre).

When in Retiro Station, remember to look at the departure board that announces the services about to depart, with their corresponding platform. Please keep your train ticket with you until you leave your station.
